Use Us as an Excuse to Plan a Vacation and Explore South Africa
Over the past two years, we’ve all missed out on seeing the world with the ones we love, so we encourage you to use our wedding as a reason to visit South Africa and spend some time exploring
South Africa holds a special place in our hearts and has something to offer every kind of traveler
Here are some thoughts to assist in planning your travel and we will continue to update this page as we get closer to the big day
Of course, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for any ideas, general questions or if you would like to discuss your itinerary or align with ours
Flights
Direct flights to South Africa will land in Johannesburg (Oliver Tambo International), you will then need to transfer to Cape Town (Cape Town International)
If connecting in Europe (London, Paris, Amsterdam) your connection may be directly to Cape Town

General
Our Itinerary | We plan to spend two weeks in South Africa- the week leading up to the wedding and then the week after. Please feel free to spend as much or as little time with us - we get it, this is your vacation as well!
Timing | Flights will be more expensive closer to the date so we recommend booking early.
Getting around | There are plenty of car rental options; Uber is reliable; private transfers are offered by many hotels
Weather| It will be summer so you should expect 80 degree weather
What Else Do You Need to Know | Jet lag to South Africa is real so we would recommend having at least a full day there to acclimate ahead of the first event on Friday. In general, don’t believe everything you read! Any concerns about safety, visa’s, vaccines etc. please reach out with any questions or clarifications
